Notable cases
- Clifford Chance has been retained for legal work by two U.S. Department of Energy panels. The work involves working on renewable energy projects, including the world's largest wind farm located in eastern Oregon. Clifford Chance represented Syncora Guarantee Inc. during the sale of Los Angeles Dodgers. Syncora insures all of the notes that are outstanding under the Dodger Tickets securitization financing. The law firm's New York Sports practice handles finances for several major sports teams in North America.

Summer associate program
Clifford Chance recognizes how critical it is for law students to get some work experience before they complete their studies. Internships are offered to students who are living in the US or overseas so that they get to learn how to work in an international law firm. The Clifford Chance Summer Program offers law students to get experience on major transactions and cases. One can know much about the top attorneys in legal surroundings and while programs are organized elsewhere, summer associates might get a coveted opportunity to spend part of the time in one of the offices based in a foreign location. Clifford Chance offers students a complete hands-on introduction to the practices and the firm. Summer law clerks are expected to complete many assignments such as conducting legal research, assisting with securities filings, perform investigations and analyses. Our summer assigning process allows summer law clerks to receive assignments from many practice groups, as needed.

In part due to the size, and due to the international nature, the firm boasts of a broad mix of international lawyers.
